Public lecture and book launch of:

The Architecture and Engineering of Downdraught Cooling - A Design Sourcebook

An exclusive presentation and discussion on the global review of research and practice in the application of downdraught cooling in buildings.

The event will explore the current landscape of downdraught cooling, taking into account research and application spanning over 15 years. The talk will highlight state of the art downdraught cooling, with an emphasis on design integration, drawn from the findings of a three-year R&D project, partially funded by the European Commission, which also included partners from Europe, India and China.

The book is targeted towards architects, engineers and students with an interest in downdraught cooling. The book includes a CD with simulation software, developed as part of an EU funded project, for the performance prediction of such cooling systems. The book also reports on the results of a post occupancy evaluation involving 10 case study buildings around the world, which use downdraught cooling.

The book is on sale at the AA Bookshop, RIBA Bookshop and Amazon:
