Davis Langdon LLP is one of the largest construction consultancies in the UK with around 1,700 staff in 20 offices; worldwide, the firm has 3,500 staff in 80 offices in over 25 countries. Our main business is construction cost consultancy and project management and the firm also has specialist groups including Management Consulting, Construction and Property Taxation, Specification Consulting and Legal Support. Davis Langdon Management Consulting (DLMC) is the specialist management consulting arm of Davis Langdon. The group provides a range of consultancy services for a variety of clients in the following key areas:

l construction markets and economics
l business improvement
DLMC has a multidisciplinary team skilled in sustainability, economics, market analysis and research, change management, process improvement, and procurement. DLMC will lead the tasks of Market assessment and research and will be a key participant in the design and organisation of the dissemination activities.
John Connaughton
Dr John Connaughton is a partner in Davis Langdon and has over 28 years experience in the construction industry, 23 of which have been spent in management and related consultancy. John leads Davis Langdon’s Management Consulting services, and has a particular interest in sustainability, innovation in construction and in improving the procurement process. He has undertaken research and consultancy for a wide range of clients including: the UK Department of Trade and Industry, HM Treasury, the Ministry of Defence, The Carbon Trust, WRAP, the European Commission, and others.
John has authored a range of reports and guidance for both clients and consultants. He writes and lectures widely in the areas of construction management and procurement, client demand, sustainability and international construction. He was a founder member of the Board of the Movement for Innovation (M4I), and was an independent Board member of Genesis Housing Group from 1999 to 2004.
